Case Managers provide outreach, needs assessment, advocacy, referrals, information and problem solving assistance to enable individuals with hearing impairments to live independently.

 Video Communications

Our Case Management Department is now offering Video Conferencing via the internet. This new technology allows the Deaf person to communicate in their native language (American Sign Language) and avoid misunderstandings that are often attributed to typed text communication (TTY).

The Deaf consumer simply logs on to the system where they can see a video picture of a live interpreter. The Interpreter/operator relays the message between spoken English and visual Sign Language.
